Re: Caledonia Models?

These wee stickers - a trip down memory lane - CMD WAS a wonderful place for a boy to window shop! I remember Caley Models at the foot of Pitt Street, when I was interested in model aircraft - a fascinating place for a boy, with the owner (George Leask?) in a kilt, and the shop seemed to be stuffed ...

Scale 7 Group Newsletter article

I have a copy of "Mastering Resin Wagon Bodies" from the group Newsletter, August 2002 which has, unfortunately get water damage rendering musc of it unreadable.
Could someone kindly provide me with a scan of the article?
Thank you

Re: Dummy van

Thank you, assumed it was a “wagon” and forgot about NPCS.
Why did I make the patterns - some time ago but probably because JB’s drawing was available.

Dummy van

Some time ago I produced patterns for the above using the CRA drawing, which, after a number of house moves, I recently came across. Looking for more information, I checked the CR Wagons and More Wagons books, the Forum and TTL archive CDs but was unable to find anything. I am fairly sure I have see...

Beetlecrusher drawings

I had a request at the Perth exhibition for the above, from an older chap who wished to check the dimensions of a model he built some years ago. Unfortunately, this is not included in the loco drawings CD. Does anyone have drawings that they could scan and email me at: mailorder@crassoc.org.uk and I...

Re: Modelmaster Pickersgill 4-4-0

This poor guy is, understandably, very bitter about Paypal but I am not sure the home page of his website is the place for such a rant. The Pickersgill is a welcome addition but £120 seems quite a lot for a resin cast body, albeit with metal fittings. I too prefer the appearance of locos with wingpl...

Re: Cattle docks

I tried making masters from styrene which did not work so produced a design for resin printing.
The first batch had some problems so I redesigned to address these but am not sure what happened after that, sorry.
It might be that rescaling Jim’s etched design for 4mm might be the way to go.

I am pleased to hear that the - albeit handsome - black is only temporary.
The blue engine is iconic and a great attraction at Bo’ness and further afeild.
