Hello all,

Ive picked up a couple of books, Glasgow Corporation Act 1888 and Glasgow District Subway (further powers) Act 1894. Both are endorsed C.R. Solicitors Office. Ive no idea if these are just copies or if the Society is aware of these and has copies but Ive scanned and posted the first to see if it is of any interest. Theres a few references to the CR in it.

Not sure if I can post them all in one go, these are low-res, if the res of these is not so good, PM me an email address and I can forward the high-res scans.

Regards Paul.

Good morning, Paul,

That bound Act of Parliament is one of hundreds that were rescued from the Caley's Buchanan Street offices, as they were about to be destroyed, by that doyen of collectors, the late Eric Lomax. It seems the C.R. collected and bound any Act which might affect the Company in its operations, and yours most definitely did. Most of these bound copies were seldom or ever used and most are still in mint condition. There are a lot about and they are offered for sale on a regular basis on E-bay and at ephemera sales.

Michael.
