Stobcross Junction Signal Box

Post by neil57d »

Does anyone have photographs of Stobcross Junction signal box?

I am looking for photos of the outside of the box that existed from 1909 to 1964.

The National Railway Museum has photos of the outside and inside of the hydraulic box that existed from 1896 to 1909. The Forbes Alexander Collection at SRPS at Bo'ness has photos of the inside of the 1909 to 1964 box, but photos of the outside seem elusive. Can anyone help?

Hello Neil,

The only photos I have of this box are these two poor offerings, both taken after closure.

Best wishes,

John

Hello John:

Apologies for the delay in replying. I forgot to subscribe to my own topic and so didn't get an email alert when you replied!

Your second photo is useful to me because it shows the exact position relative to the Finnieston Street bridge and other structural steelwork.

I will send you a PM.

Many thanks.

Neil
