Unidentified signalboxes

I recently added a number of signalbox images from the collection of Nick Tindall and from Stuart Rankin to the online FSLS catalogue. Among Stuart's images were two signalboxes with no identification. Can anyone suggest where they are? (Perhaps even Stuart himself if he reads this!)

The first one has four shots from various angles: (FSLS images CRA85150 to 85153)

The second is a front elevation only (FSLS CRA85165)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

The first series, with the boarded up box, is Bannockburn and one of these pictures appears in Jim Summers' signalling book. Not sure about the second yet.

Thanks Michael that’s very helpful.

Another question I forgot to post earlier. One or two photos have the photographer identified by lightly-pencilled initials on the back of the print. I am guessing “GPS” is GP Stilley and “GHR” is George Robin, but can anyone suggest the identity of “C McC”?

Graham

I agree that first one is Bannockburn (see uploaded photo). I suggest that the second might be Cornton, north of Stirling. See second uploaded photo.

Thanks John - Cornton it is - it was staring me in the face, since there are two identified photos of that box in the pile I scanned. The white gate, seen here from the other side, is the clincher:

And thanks to Mike too for identifying Crear McCartney from his initials. I found the (Glasgow) Herald's obituary to be informative, and not only about his railway interests.

The FSLS catalogue has been updated accordingly.
