WCJS 50' Diner roof details please?

Post by Tony Guyan »

I have just collected a pair of WCJS 50' diners these are on six wheeled bogies, the vehicles are complete apart from the roof furniture and the gas pipes, steps, buffers and couplings. These vehicles are illustrated in the LNWR / WCJS book by David Jenkinson on page 46. I would like some advise on where the gas pipes would have been and which style of vent would have been used.

Thanks in anticipation Tony Guyan.

Are you talking about the 50ft 6in saloons that formed pairs with 47ft saloons, Tony?

Hi Mike. Yes I have one of each I.E. a pair and I would like to know what roof furniture they both had. Apologies but I am still at work. Best wishes Tony.

Sorry but I do not know of any drawings showing the details you require. Perhaps you should also ask this question of the LNWR Society? https://www.lnwrs.org.uk/
